SummaryIn late 1938, Liesel Meminger is now an orphan that goes to live with her new foster parents, Hans Hubermann and Rosa Hubermann. Lisesl must adjust to her new life and is finding that it has its perks. After finding out that Liesel can't read, Hans Hubermann teaches Liesel the wonderful world of using words to describe how you feel. As war goes on in Germany, Liesel and her new family must face hardships and even greater obstacles when they take a young Jew into their home for shelter.
